Hotel Accommodations, Amenities & Features 2008 Rates

The following rates go into effect on January 1, 2008. Rates are based on double occupancy and are subject to change. Rates are only guaranteed once your reservation has been confirmed with a credit card.

WE CANNOT ACCEPT TRAVELER'S CHECKS.

ALL RATES BASED ON DOUBLE OCCUPANCY. Two guests per reserved unit. Supplimental fees for addtional guests as noted below.

All our accommodations include the following amenities:

• A combination of queen or king size beds
• Air conditioning and flow through natural ventilation with ceiling fans
• Satellite TV and stereo, DVD, and WIFI
• Convenience Kitchen (including a small microwave, mini-refrigerator, and coffee maker) OR
• Gourmet Kitchen (including a large Microwave, full gas stove and oven, large refrigerator with ice maker, coffee maker, fully equipped with a wide array of cooking utensils, pots, and pans, and table settings for 8
• Purified water
• private patio or terrace
• large private bathroom with hot water

General Pricing Information

• Remember that Pelican Eyes...Piedras y Olas Hotel & Resort is a walking property with MANY stairs, not suitable for all guests. If you require special consideration due to physical limitations or health consideration, please feel free to consult our reception staff.
• All rates based on double occupancy. Two guests are included in the cost of each accommodation. Each additional adult will be charged US $20 plus tax per night (children 3 -12 years old, US $10 plus tax per night). No charge for children under 3 years old.
• During holidays, such as Christmas and Easter, rates increase approximately US $100 per room.
• Prices include one full breakfast per registered guest served daily from 7-11 am (7- 12 pm on Sunday) in our restaurants; La Cascada Bar & Restaurant and Bistro La Canoa.
• Poolside bar and dining service with an ocean view and infinity swimming pools, as well as a half-Olympic size lap pool.
• La Cascada Bar & Restaurant gourmet dining, serving international cuisine; open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily (Pool menu available between lunch and dinner)
• Bistro La Canoa open for breakfast and lunch (bar closes at 6:30 pm)
• Free transportation services within Piedras y Olas Hotel & Resort, and limited free local service available.
• Transportation coordination and guidance
• Coordination of local and regional excursions
• Laundry service (per item based fee)
• Special events, celebratory occasions and groups can be accommodated
• Extended stays at exceptional discounted rates are available. Please inquire for details.
• Prices do not include 15% Nicaragua sales tax, gratuities, or room service charges. All prices are subject to change.
• We accept all major credit cards, Nicaraguan Córdobas, and U.S. dollars.

Deposit and Cancellation Policy:

• We require a 50% deposit to hold your reservation

• Cancellations made after confirmation will result in a 10% administrative fee charged on the TOTAL VALUE of the reservation.

• Cancellations made within 21 days of projected arrival will result in a 25% penalty on the TOTAL VALUE of the reservation;

• Those made within 7 days of projected arrival will result in a 50% penalty of the TOTAL VALUE of the reservation.

• No shows will be charged 100% of costs.

• Some Special Rate reservations are charged immediately and are non-changeable and non-refundable. No-shows and early departures are considered cancellation.

Tips To Travelers and Guests:

1. Don’t bring Traveler’s Cheques. They simply are not the time honored currency exchange system for travelers that they once were. Nobody accepts them in Nicaragua!
2. Best to bring only Credit Cards and Cash Cards that can be used in Cash Machines (remember to have authorized Pin Codes as you won’t be able to obtain them here).
3. Also, report to your Credit Card companies that you will be traveling in Nicaragua (and wherever else you will be going) to prevent having to have your identify checked after your first three purchases or credit card uses.
4. US dollars are accepted throughout Nicaragua. Bring a mixture of large bills as well as 20s (many small businesses will NOT change nor except $100 bills because of the ease of counterfeiting them).
